BRAINways Education respects the privacy rights of the participants in the BRAINways Education programs and recognize the importance of protecting all information that you may choose to share with us. To further this commitment, we have adopted this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to guide how we collect, store, and use the information you provide us when you enrol in the BRAINways programs or access BRAINways Education website. Q1. What is Personal Information?

As used herein, the term “personal information” means information that specifically identifies any individual (such as a name, address, telephone number, mobile number, e-mail address, or credit card number), or information about that individual that is directly linked to personally identifiable information.

Q2. What types of personal information do we collect?

A2. We collect personal information about the participants in the BRAINways Education programs in the following ways:

    1. Information provided to us when enrolling in the BRAINways Education programs
    2. Information provided to us through the course of participation in the BRAINways Education programs
    3. Information provided when completing program evaluation, feedback or other questionnaires

Typically, the personal information collected includes: name of participant and his/her parent(s) or guardian(s), date of birth, year level, school attended, email address; telephone number; medical information.

Passive Collection

When you use the BRAINways E-Learning programs, your IP address will also be collected, to monitor the students’ access in the programs, and to ensure that enrolled students log in only.

Cookies

BRAINways Education E-Learning system requires cookies to be enabled in order to login. BRAINways Education does not use cookies for any other purposes. However, if you chose to remove cookies, you will not be able to login in the E-Learning.

Once you access E-Learning and click on links which take you on other websites, the BRAINways Education Privacy Policy and Terms and Condition will no longer apply, and you are encouraged to read the Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions of that respective website.

Use of Personal Information

BRAINways Education will use the personal information we collect through the Site for the purposes described in this Policy or elsewhere on the Site. For example, we may use personal and other information we collect:

To enrol the students in the programs we offer;

You understand that when you use the BRAINways online program services, any information you post in any interactive areas of the online programs, including in any comments, profiles, groups or forums, as well as any information you share with individuals through groups or forums, will be available to the other students enrolled in that program. Therefore, BRAINways Education takes the liberty to remove from the program students who provide or request personal information when attending the BRAINways E-Learning online programs.

We are not responsible for the actions of third party service providers or other third parties, nor are we responsible for any additional information you provide directly to any third parties, and we encourage you to become familiar with their privacy practices before disclosing information directly to any such parties

Q4. What choices do you have about the collection, use, and sharing of your personally identifiable information?

A4. As mentioned above, you have control over the personal information you submit to us. If at any time you decide to remove your personal information from our database, you may do so by emailing us at info@brainways.com.au.

Q5. Do we collect information for children under the age of 13?

A5. BRAINways Education requires students be registered in the programs by their parents/guardians. BRAINways Education precludes students – irrespective of age – to participate in the BRAINways programs and use BRAINways services without the permission of their parents/guardians. When we intend to collect personal information from a Child, we take additional steps to protect children’s privacy, including:

IF YOU ARE A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN AND YOU GIVE YOUR PERMISSION FOR YOUR CHILD TO REGISTER FOR ONE OR OTHER OF THE SERVICES, YOU THEREBY AGREE TO THE TERMS RELATING TO USE OF THE SERVICES BY YOUR CHILD.

Q6. Does this privacy policy apply to other websites linked to the BRAINways Education websites?

A6. The services may contain links to other websites. Any personal information you provide on linked pages or applications is provided directly to that third party and is subject to that third party’s privacy policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such linked sites, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of these websites or any other sites that are linked to or from the Services. We encourage you to learn about their privacy and security practices and policies before providing them with personal information.

Q7. What kinds of security measures do we take to safeguard your personally identifiable information?

A7. The security and confidentiality of your personal information is extremely important to us. We have implemented technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and improper use. To protect the confidentiality of personal information maintained in your account, you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person. Should your password or username be disclosed to other party, you will be held responsible, and BRAINways Education reserves the right to remove you from the program if such situation occurs. Please advise BRAINways Education immediately if you believe your password has been misused.
